The function of the speed screw is to provide a consistent feed flow to the conditioning chamber. The feeder’s purpose is to regulate the ingredients inside the machine and then pass them on.

2. Conditioning chamber

As the name indicates, the ingredients are conditioned with steam and moisture. The steam softens the materials from the feed while the moisture provides lubrication. The main purpose of the conditioning chamber is to provide uniform mixing with the best lubrication and softening of the materials.

The conditioning chamber also has a speed screw through which you can control the mixing speed. You can control this speed screw manually and automatically. Most of the time, automatic is preferred to result in uniform mixing.

3. Die chamber

The conditioned feed enters the die cavity or chamber, where the rollers press the feed through the holes of the cylindrical ring die. Stationary knives are mounted to the pellet chamber, breaking off the finished dense pellets of uniform size, shape, and weight. The pellets then exit the Pelletizing Machine through gravity and are then cooled off.

4. Motor

The motor is an important part of the pelletizing machine because the motor cuts and mixes the material. With a motor, converting the ingredient into pellets was possible. The motor is necessary for every machine part, from the feeder to the die chamber motor.

5. Transmission Shafts

Transmission shafts help provide torque used in the feeder section and the conditioning section. Mixing is required in both those sections, which can happen with the help of transmission shafts.
